Best Anime Vibe Ever

This feels right, given that it plays like a feature, a sweet, corny and fairly adorable rom-com, temperamentally old-fashioned but made newfangled by virtue of being animated and the musical tie-in. (The songs are in the picture; the picture illustrates the songs.)
---Rotten Tomatoes, Robert Loyd

The plot is very simple, following the venerable arc of “boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl.”
However on the vibe level, “Entergalactic” totally works. It may not be a movie or a TV show but it’s certainly more than an extended music video. It’s an experimental form, using plot and characters to present a collage of multi-sensory art.

Together, these visuals depict a similar NYC as the award-winning animation of 2018’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” just more grown up. This story doesn’t follow comic book characters but rather the people who make them. We get scenes about sex, drug use, and hangovers.

The best part is that the movie feels authentic, and the small behavior and the hobbies of the characters are elegant and accurate to what the majority of American young people living in the city do every day nowadays. It can be a great teaching material for foreigners to understand New York and USA's modern culture
Ultimately, “Entergalatic” is best enjoyed as a beautiful series of moments, as its writing lacks substance.
